Blogs and forums are often integrated together in community forums, a MyBB blog plugin exists for this, a few of them actually. Here’s a list of MyBB blog plugins that can be used to add a blogging section to your forum, each one is different than the other and may come with issues, so use these MyBB plugins at your own risk.

Blog System

A pretty new MyBB blog plugin, this MyBB plugin enables you to publish blog posts via Admin CP > Blog Manager, where only Administrators can add and edit new blog posts. The blog URL can be found at http://www.example.com/blog.php. The editor is very simple when making a new post with this MyBB blog plugin, MyCode is not allowed, but HTML is. After publishing, comments can be posted, and also edited in the Blog Manager.

I’ve noticed that this MyBB blog plugin still has issues, some of the language text needs to be corrected, when you view a blog post and click on the main blog URL in the navigation, it’ll go to http://mybbgroup.com/forum/Blog.php instead (notice the capitalized “B” in the URL), which for me shows a page that does not exist. Blog System is still a new MyBB plugin, so I’m sure (and hope) it’ll be fixed over time. Profile Blogs

Here’s another fairly new MyBB blog plugin, Profile Blogs creates a small blogging section in member’s profiles to allow users to create blog posts, MyCode is allowed. In Admin CP settings, you can choose how many entries can show on profiles. On the forum’s index, a new box will appear that shows the latest blog entries, you can also enable/disable this in settings too.

Upon installing this MyBB blog plugin however, you may encounter a MySQL error, if so open profileblogs.php and find:

    "title"      => $lang->profileblogsShowAuthor,

Replace with:

    "title" => "Show link to the author site?",

Like the previous, this MyBB blog plugin too seems to have issues that needs fixing, but it’s still a good and usable plugin. Download Profile Blogs here.

MyBlogs

MyBlogs is another type of MyBB blog plugin that is probably the best of them all. Members can create their own blogs with blog entries. It allows MyCode and enables tagging in blog posts, the latest two blog posts are displayed at http://www.example.com/blogs.php and blog owners can choose between a public or private blog.

This MyBB blog plugin however is no longer available to download so it can be updated, but the original release thread can be found here.
